THE UNDERBANK — STOCKPORT
Short for incubator, Incu is our pop-up space on The Underbank in Stockport, designed to give independent brands the freedom to test their concepts in-store without the long term risk of a traditional lease.
We created INCU to break down barriers for ambitious start-ups and passionate independents, providing a platform where ideas can take shape, businesses can connect with customers, and concepts can grow into something bigger.
Since launching, we’ve supported a range of independent makers, creators, and retailers on their first steps into bricks and mortar. For many, INCU has been the spark that allowed them to build confidence, find their audience, and flourish into established businesses.
Our vision is simple: to keep championing independence, creativity, and entrepreneurship in Stockport.




Wolfnoodle is a vibrant creative studio founded by Sammy, a Manchester School of Art graduate. Inspired by playful vintage toys and fashion, her work combines acrylic painting with digital refinement to create joyful, colorful designs.
In July 2023, Woofnoodle opened a physical shop at 17A Lower Hillgate, Stockport, in collaboration with Incu. The store features a curated selection of art prints, greeting cards, and homewares. Sammy’s unique creations are also available online, with worldwide shipping.

Nestled in Stockport’s vibrant Underbanks area, Little Scarfs is an independent culinary studio and pasta bar founded by husband and wife duo Hannah and Elliot. They specialize in fresh, handmade pasta dishes, seasonal salads, and natural wines, all crafted with creativity and sustainability in mind.
Beyond dining, Little Scarfs offers pasta making workshops, dinner events, and unique culinary experiences, making it a hub for food lovers and local community gatherings. Chefs Michael and Melanie, the husband and wife team behind The Little Sri Lankan, are passionate about bringing the vibrant flavours of their Sri Lankan heritage to the heart of Stockport. Known for their creative take on traditional dishes, they craft stunning seasonal four-course menus that celebrate the bold spices, fresh produce, and rich food culture of Sri Lanka.
Through their collaboration with Incu, Michael and Melanie have found a home at Miru Mill, a beautiful, intimate space that provides the perfect setting for their monthly dining experiences. Guests are welcomed to a communal table, where each course is introduced with the stories and inspiration behind the dish, creating a dining experience that is as personal as it is flavourful.
More than just a meal, an evening with The Little Sri Lankan at Miru Mill is a celebration of community, culture, and culinary passion a chance to share food, stories, and a little piece of Sri Lanka right here in Stockport.
